Description
Medium sized epiphytic/lithophyte Utricularia species with long slender leaves and as the only Utricularia species needs a real rest period in which it can fall completely dry. Like other species within the Orchidioides, these also produce tubers to bridge periods of drought.
Distribution
Floristic provinces
Caribbean
Central America
Andes
Northern Andes
Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador
Habitat
Rainforests where the epiphytic grows on/in the moss layer.
Cultivation
Owned for a few years, propagated, but never got into bloom. In the dip of the year, the leaves yellow and then you have to let it dry completely for 2-3 months I learned. This is what I'm trying to do now, maybe photos of flowers in 3 months!
Flowering Period
After the rest period
